Give your agent an allowance.
A pass is a connector you paste into your chatbot. It spends only at the service you choose, up to what you load.
01 · How it works
Three steps.
- 01
Pick the service
Paste its address on the Fund a pass page, or use the button on its site.
- 02
Load an allowance
Connect your wallet and choose how much, in USDC.
- 03
Paste the connector
Add the link to your chatbot as a custom connector.
02 · Scoped
Scoped to the seller you choose.
A pass spends only at the service you picked, and only up to what you loaded. Your agent never gets your card or your wallet.
Using more than one service? Fund one pass for each.
03 · Your balance
The balance stays on the pass until you send it home.
Send it home any time from the pass’s page. It goes only to the wallet that funded it.
Your chatbot can check the balance with the pass’s free balance tool: loaded, spent, returned, left.
04 · Keep the link safe
The link is the key.
Whoever holds the link can spend the pass at that service, and nowhere else. Keep it like a gift card.
The pass is made from your wallet’s signature. ZEAM keeps no key for it.
05 · What it costs
Funding is free.
You pay the service’s own prices. A failed call costs nothing. ZEAM pays the network fee for your deposit.
Sending it home is free once ZEAM’s fee on what the pass spent covers the network fee. Before that, the network fee plus 15% comes out of what is returned.
06 · Invite-only services
Some services admit only approved agents.
For those, the service approves your pass. The Fund a pass page shows your pass address and, when the service names one, where to ask.
One service, one allowance, one link.
For developers
Agents with their own wallet.
An agent with its own key and USDC on Base can pay any Pass seller over x402, without a pass. An unpaid call answers 402 with the price. With the Bridge:
export X402_PRIVATE_KEY=0x…
X402_MCP_URL=https://seller.example/agents/mcp npx -y @zeam-labs/x402-mcp-bridge --tools
Any x402 client works. Pick the USDC option without Permit2. Routes, refunds and the buyer API are in llms.txt.
